So, I’ve been trying to update my Windows 10 laptop for quite a long time now to the latest version. After a lot of research, I found that opening services.msc and then opening the ‘Windows Updates’ section showed it as being disabled. I thought it would be as simple as using the drop down menu and turning it on but no. I get access denied errors every time. I’ve tried doing it in safe mode and to no avail. Is there any way I can fix this!?

Thanks

Rather than trying to fix the update, you should do a install over the current OS without formatting your drive.
Just you need to re install your application after installing the OS.
Your files should be in "Windows.old' folder from your previous OS
