I'm experiencing an anomaly and I've pinpointed Aster v7 as the cause and it is easily reproducible.

I've tested on two physical Windows 8.1 machines and a clean Windows 8.1 virtual machine. In all cases, if Aster is not installed, or it is disabled, the issue disappears. As soon as Aster is enabled, access to any resource that would typically prompt for credentials is broken. Specifically, access to my Network Shares (both via GUI and command prompt) is broken. It'll prompt to "Enter network credentials" but hangs, or flashes and disappears. This also occurs if you right-click any object, while holding the Shift key, and selecting "Run as different User". Running as Administrator works fine, though. For instance, I can right-click and run cmd.exe as Administrator, but I can't shift-right-click and select "Run as different User" enter another user credentials.

I'd be willing to drop the $200 for the 6 user license, if it weren't for this one quirk. All-in-all, this is exactly the software I've been looking for, albeit with some currently hindering issues.

It's looking like my trial period might expire before I get an answer to this issue.

Can anyone else at least confirm that they also experience this, or perhaps have found a potential workaround? At this point, I'm not sure if this functionality exists and is broken, or if it was intentionally omitted. Any direction at all on this issue would be appreciated.

The problem has been fixed in the latest version.
You can download it here
Before install the new version, you must remove the old version Aster and restart PC.
