COVID-19 pandemic is fierce in India and the number of infected people has reached millions. I pray for everyone in the world to get through the pandemic safely! The Indian government has taken some measures in order to reduce the number of newly infected people, which has forced people to either leave their work to stay at home or continue their work from home.
In our office, we have ASTER workplaces, which have allowed our employees to share the computer with 2 or more other employees. Due to which, it is not possible to have the PC from the office to work at home. We have to use our own PC at home for our work. It has made it difficult for us as we have to share our home PC with other family members.

Moreover, due to company policy at the office, work done by the employees is controlled and monitored. The same has to be applied when working from home, but remotely to the company’s ASTER workplaces and while looking for a solution, I decided to ask IBIK support for suggestions.
IBIK support recommended using remote desktop applications called AnyDesk or Parsec programs to access ASTER workplaces remotely. And to give a better demonstration IBIK support made a video on YouTube for us. We watched the video and repeated the process of installation. We chose the AnyDesk program. IBIK support also recommended using virtual display adapters. Using the adapters freed the monitors from the office computers and we brought them to our homes. This has allowed our employees to create an extra workplace from the computer without spending money on procuring a new monitor.
Ever since I became aware of ASTER, I have used it at home as well to share our home PC with other members. ASTER has helped us at both our office and at home! We have saved money on purchasing new computers at home and at the office. ASTER is a great tool to save money, space and power consumption of the computers in offices as well as at home!
We are so glad that we were able to organize remote work for our employees, which has empowered them to continue working even through the pandemic.
