AllGPUAccess allows workplaces to access all gpu available on your system
This only applies if you have more than one GPU in your system

If you only have 1 GPU and you applied this special settings, there wont be any affect to workplaces.

Check the settings menu of the application where you see this option. Look for a section related to graphics, performance, or advanced settings, and see if you can toggle or disable "AllGPUAccess."

Hey there! Great question.

"AllGPUAccess" is a special setting typically found in certain software environments or developer tools, and as the name suggests, it controls whether all available GPUs on a system are accessible to the application. This can be useful for high-performance computing, rendering, or AI workloads where multiple GPUs are needed.

✅ What it does:

When AllGPUAccess = true, the system or app can utilize all GPUs, not just the default one. This is handy for tasks that need a lot of GPU power, but it might also cause performance issues, especially if other apps are trying to use the GPU at the same time.

❌ How to disable it:

The way to disable this depends on where the setting is applied. Common places it shows up:

  • Environment Variables – You can check if AllGPUAccess is set as an environment variable and remove or change it.

  • App Config Files – Some advanced tools (like AI/ML platforms or render engines) may have it in a settings or config file (like .json, .yaml, etc.).

  • Command Line – Occasionally, it's used as a flag in scripts or launch commands.

If you're using a specific software or platform, let me know which one and I can give you exact steps on how to turn it off!

Hope that helps 👌

I am using this software and also see the AllGPUAccess option in the Special Settings. I wonder if it is the same as granting GPU access to all processes?

AllGPUAccess is special settings for ASTER, it allows workplaces to have access to all GPUs in multiGPU system.

However, applications and games can still only default to one of the GPUs this is dependent on the app/games and not ASTER.
