issues running Elden Ring or Armored Core 6

Hi everyone,

Has anyone else encountered issues running Elden Ring or Armored Core 6 while Aster is active? It seems like whenever Aster is running, these games crash to the desktop. However, if I disable Aster, the games run without any problems.

If you've faced a similar issue and found a solution, I'd really appreciate your input. Thanks!

Greetings everybody!

I have L4D2 on my Steam account. It's installed and the game runs perfect. Now, is there any way of playing that game on my 2nd Aster's Workplace as a lan co-op game? I mean to be able to play with my friend who's on the 2nd monitor?

By the way, i'm with W11Pro, latest Aster version v2.60.5 and have noticed problems with Steam when running at the same time on both Workplaces (even if i try to use 2 different Steam Accounts...). I found that with no Steam running on both Workplaces, gaming on both Workplaces is without issues...

The Easy Anticheat does not allow 'Simultaneous Instances'. Is there a way to trick EAC or isolate EAC for each user?

Currently Easy AntiCheat protected games is not working for more than 1 user.

Forza horizon 5

Have anybody been able to play two instances of Forza Horizon 5 with Aster? I was able to launch two Steams after I updated the Aster, and I can launch two Forza Horizon 5 games now that I have installed them to two locations. However, I cannot get both instances to online (Horizon Life) at the same time. Both game clients can get individually to online, but not when the other client is already online. I tried to tackle this issue by setting static IP addresses to my wifi network adapter and ethernet network adapter, and then assigning these IPs to the workplaces. Both workspaces have access to internet, and there are strong implications that it happens through the specified network adapter, since if I turn off the wifi, the other workspace has no longer acces to the internet. Nonetheless, I cannot go online on both clients simultaneously, I get an error message that reads "unable to join session" Is it possible that Forza still binds to the same adapter? I also wonder why changing the clientport on Steam launch options didn't help. Now that they have different IP:s and MAC:s I can't figure out why it is not working. Maybe I should have Steam installed on separate locations as well as the game?

Any help or thought would be welcome. Thanks in advance!

Edit: We have two legitimately bought Steam copies of the game.

Battlefield 1 being blocked by EA app on 2nd workplace

Similar to my other post, I'm trying to run Battlefield 1 on the 2nd workplace but the EA app detects the game being launched and blocks it.

This occurs when I'm running the same game on the 1st workplace.

Anyone have any idea or solutions to get around this while using Aster?

Helldivers 2 launch being blocked by nGuard Protect on 2nd workplace

I'm trying to run Hell Divers 2 on the 2nd workplace but nGuard protect pops up detecting the 2nd game being launched and blocks it.

This occurs when I'm running the game on the 1st workplace.

Anyone have any idea or solutions to get around this while using Aster?

Steam Big Picture + Controler -> Both sessions

Hello there!

After gaining extensive experience with Aster and managing multiple complex configurations, I've encountered a new issue that I'm unable to resolve.

Configuration:

A computer with two sessions/screens, with Aster installed and configured.

One Xbox controller associated exclusively with one session.

Steps to Reproduce:

Run a game on the first session/screen using Steam with the controller; everything runs fine. (1.2 - "Salon" in screenshot)

Simultaneously, launch Steam Big Picture on the second session: the cursor moves without any keyboard/mouse action. In fact, Steam Big Picture is being controlled by the controller from the first session! It seems the controller is sending actions to both sessions. If a game is launched through Big Picture, the controller from the first session also controls the game on the second session. (1.1 - "Bureau" in screenshot)

It seems that the problem is linked to conflicts between Steam's controller management and Aster.

Without Big Picture, everything runs fine. Has anyone else faced this situation before?
